This report presents the results of the IDH Primitive PoC Scenario 2, which evaluates the virtual data lake functionality of the IOWN Global Forum Data Hub (IDH). The study confirms that IDH, using Open APN, enables high-speed, low-latency data transfers across data centers, achieving performance comparable to local networks, especially for larger data transfers. Key findings highlight the need for optimized buffer sizes and transfer threads to maximize Open APN bandwidth. Additionally, RDMA-based data transfers show potential for reducing CPU bottlenecks, though further software optimizations are required. These results support IDH’s role as a scalable and efficient data management solution.
