In September, the IOWN Global Forum held its first Member Meeting since its official launch.

The first week of February 2021 was a productive and successful one for members of the IOWN Global Forum as they held the second online Member Meeting since the Forum’s official launch.

The IOWN Global Forum marked yet another milestone in late April, hosting their first Annual Member Meeting. Reaching record high numbers with representation from 12 different countries, seven different time zones, and over 52 member companies, more than 400+ individuals from IOWN Global Forum were in attendance.

IOWN Global Forum February 2022 Member Meeting

On April 19-21, 2022, IOWN Global Forum hosted a successful 2nd Annual Member Meeting online.

The IOWN Global Forum will be co-hosting a seminar with the Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC) in Japan. The TTC is a standard development organization that handles standardization of Japan communication networks.

The IOWN Global Forum will be participating in the online portion of Interop Tokyo 2022, presenting three topics.

IOWN Global Forum steps into its 2nd phase of proving its business value through Proof of Concept (PoC) activities. With the active members of Ericsson, Nokia, Red Hat, and SONY, the panel discusses specific PoC activities such as optical communication infrastructure that supports next-gen mobile network, next-gen computing infrastructure that supports information processing in data-centric society, use cases such as inspections by remote control of robots in factories, and building of test environments etc.
