FUTURES Sydney 2026 – Powering Tomorrow with Photonics

April 16th

Hosted by the IOWN Global Forum, FUTURES Sydney is a free, public-access event exploring how optical and photonics-based infrastructure is expanding what is possible across communications networks, data centers, and other digital infrastructure, delivering higher capacity, lower latency, and improved energy efficiency. As demand for digital infrastructure performance and scalability continues to grow, industry leaders will share insights on how photonics-based technologies are progressing from concept to real-world deployment.

Join us in person or online to explore Early Adoption Use Cases, lessons from Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and forward-looking perspectives on how advances in optical networking and photonics are influencing business strategy and innovation. Designed for both current Members and non-members interested in learning more about the Forum and optical and photonics-based infrastructure, FUTURES Sydney brings together cross-industry perspectives to examine how next-generation infrastructure is shaping the future of digital systems.

When: Thursday, 16 April 2026 | 3:00 – 5:00 PM AEST

Where: Sydney, Australia & Online
