Point-to-Multipoint Mobile Fronthaul over APN

KDDI, Sumitomo Electric Industries and Apresia Systems have completed an evaluation of Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP)-type APN technology with following the PoC Reference for Mobile Fronthaul over APN version 2.0. PtMP APN incorporating with flexible bridges was applied to the mobile fronthaul between DU and RU and confirmed its technical feasibility based on the evaluation method for step 1 and step 2-1 which was described in the PoC reference. This report provides the details of the test setup, parameters, equipment, measurement method, and test results. Technical findings and lessons learnt through the PoC are also provided.
