PoC for High-Speed and Efficient Geo-Distributed Data Processing and Management Based on the IDH Architecture

NTT and Oracle have conducted the PoC with regard to IOWN Data Hub concept. The objective of the PoC was to explore the future of distributed data processing, including Multi-Access Edge (MEC), using APN. As a result, basic knowledge has been acquired through this PoC on 1) how to efficiently transfer data to the Central Cloud that has been initially received and pre-processed at MEC, 2) how to maintain the DB performance while replicating data between multiple locations, and 3) the technical elements for efficient data processing at MEC. These findings will be the foundation for opening up the era of distributed data processing envisioned by IOWN Global Forum.

Full report is available to IOWN Global Forum Members in the TUCWG PoC Task Force Space.
